The Muslim Woman in Ramadan — Shaykh al-Fawzan

Question: How does the Muslim woman emulate the Muslim women at the time of the Messenger ﷺ in how she spends her Ramadan?

Answer by Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān (hafidhahullah):

The Muslim woman spends the month of Ramadan like any other Muslim: she believes in Allāh, makes the most of the seasons of goodness by obeying Allāh and seeking nearness to Him. She considers the month of Ramadan as an opportunity of a lifetime, busying her time in what is appropriate, honouring and respecting the month with prayer, fasting and remembering Allāh. She emulates the women from amongst the Ṣaḥābah in what they used to do during this month by reading their biographies, may Allāh be pleased with them.
