This is a translation of the book, al-Arba‘un fil-Ahkam (40 Hadith on Fiqh Legal Rulings), authored by the great scholar Hafidh ‘Abdul-‘Adhim ibn ‘Abdul-Qawi al-Mundhiri. In it, he compiled forty hadiths from the most authentic narrations of the Prophet ﷺ, each of which is reported either by both al-Bukhari and Muslim or by one of them. It gathers hadiths covering all the topics of Islamic Fiqh: rulings on purification, prayer, zakah, fasting, Hajj, business transactions, inheritance, marriage, jihad, and crime and punishment.
