Imam Abdul-Rahman ibn Nasir al-Sa‘di:

Whoever upholds the truth, calls to it, or strives to reject falsehood and invalidate it, must be supported and aided in doing so. This falls under the statement of Allah, the Exalted:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُونُوا أَنْصَارَ اللَّهِ

“O you who believe, be supporters [in the cause] of Allāh.” (al-Saff 61:14)

Also, this verse and others like it implicitly indicate the obligation of pursuing the means by which the truth is aided, such as learning and teaching beneficial knowledge and the like.
