Notes:

[1 & 2] ‘Amr ibn al-‘As (radiyallahu ‘anhu) asked the Prophet ﷺ: “O Messenger of Allāh! Who is the most beloved of people to you?” He said, “A’isha.” He asked, “And among the men?” He said, “Her father.” (al-Bukhari & Muslim)

[3] The Prophet ﷺ said about Usamah ibn Zayd (radiyallahu ‘anhu): “Certainly, he is among the people I love the most.” (al-Bukhari & Muslim)

He ﷺ also said: “Whoever loves me should love Usamah.” (al-Jami‘ al-Saghir, Albani: Sahih)

[4 & 5] The Prophet ﷺ said about al-Hasan and al-Husayn: “These are my two sons and the sons of my daughter. O Allāh, I love them, so love them, and love those who love them.” (al-Tirmidhi, Albani: Hasan)

[6 & 7] A’isha (radiyallahu ‘anha) said: “The Prophet ﷺ used to love sweet dishes (halwa) and honey (asl).” (al-Bukhari)

Al-Khattabi said: “The name ‘halwa’ (sweet dishes) is only used for what has been prepared [by human effort].” (Fath al-Bari: 9/557)

[8] The Prophet ﷺ said about Mount Uhud: “This is a mountain that loves us, and we love it.” (al-Bukhari & Muslim)

[9] The Prophet ﷺ said about Makkah: “How pure and beloved you are to me! If it were not that your people expelled me from you, I would not have lived anywhere else.” (al-Tirmidhi, Albani: Sahih)

[10] The Prophet ﷺ said to the Ansar: “By the One in Whose hand is my soul, you are twice as beloved to me as other people.” (al-Bukhari & Muslim)

He also said: “None loves the Ansar except a believer, and none hates them except a hypocrite. Whoever loves them, Allāh loves him, and whoever hates them, Allāh hates him.” (al-Bukhari & Muslim)

In another narration: “A sign of faith is the love of the Ansar, and a sign of hypocrisy is the hatred of the Ansar.” (al-Bukhari & Muslim)

The Prophet ﷺ also loved many other things that have been mentioned in the narrations, including marrying women, the fragrance of perfume, caring for the poor and needy, and the enjoyment of wholesome foods like meat.
